I may be totally off, but I think they run at about 7" - 7 1/2" ?

7" from rear peg mount and for every 5" up on the frame rail, it should increase by 1/2 an inch.

Hmm..that seems odd. I was told to keep it flat or 1/4 higher in the front..

The 450R frame is flat on the bottom..It needs to sit flat. Run the ride height between 6-8 inches depending on track conditions. The smoother the lower, the rougher, the higher the ride height.

So what your sayin is, that if the frame is 7" at the peg, and the frame is twenty inches long, that my ride height at the 20 in mark should be 17 in? I run 7 1/2, seems to work fine.

i think you did your math wrong, by his equation 20" up the frame it should sit 2" higher idk how you got 17"... personaly that still seems way off, an inch higher maybe but i prefer a level bike

for some one who is not going to change their ride hight with every track condition. at joe brds quad riding school he told us 7" with rider on the bike just in front of the foot peg and at the point of your frame in front where it rakes up.

December 2004 issue of 4-wheel atv action states that you should put the rider of the machine in full riding gear and set him on the bike and measure the riding height from the bottom of the frame tube behind the footpeg to the ground and from the rear mount of the lower a-arm to the ground. The height can vary from 7-1/4 inches to 7-3/4 inches on most tracks. The ground clearance at the front can be 1/8 to 1/4 inch higher.
