I don't know if you're going to get a very good response on this. Those with the Hotcam will vote for that, and vice-versa. I personally got the HRC cam because I figure I'll have fewer problems down the road putting Honda's cam in a Honda.

i've ridden both bikes with hot cams stg 2, my personal bike has a hrc cam in it. hot cams stg 2 will have a huge increase in low-mid end power and somewhat top end power.. Hrc cam will have all top end you will feel the extra pull, somesay you loose some bottom end but you don't..

Yeah, I didn't notice any drop in power anywhere. It can actually pull a higher gear easier.

My preference between the 2 is the HC2...had both, sold HRC. If you run the stock rev box, I'd still say HC2 too. Also heavier guys tend to prefer the HC2 over the HRC for th *noticable* mid range improvement.

I bought my r with hrc installed. I have an hc2 in my 416ex, I wish I went with the hrc for the dirtbike on that build up simply for the decompression release.

as for how does the hc2 work, i've yet to have to aproblem with it toehr than it turning over slow.

It made a nice improvement on my power delivery across the entire powerband.

Now on the hrc side I love how it pulls right to the limiter and would go higher if I had no warrenty and changed out my rev box.
My friend goldrims04 just got the hc2 so i'll get to try it out soon. Im sure it'll have better bottom end since he has piped his r and has his gearing set to 13-39.

Definatly go wotih the hotcams because they prodice more power than the hrc cam yet they are still just as reliable as the honda cam

If you want more bottom end and mid power with the same top end, then look at the Baldwin Motorsports MX cam.

The hotcam may have more low-mid range power but not on top. My hrc smack's the limiter with stock gearing, hc2 doesn't do that.

I'll get to ride on it tomorrow so then i'll give my true input on the difference.

i rode an r that had a hrc in it i liked it but i think what adds up to the cam performance is the other mods u have like my hotcam stg 2 made all my other mods work as one.

I say go with the HotCams. Great increase in power and less $$ than the Honda.
