i'm gonna say backflip combos once more of the AX guys start flipping to dirt... probably just small combos like nacs or heel clickers but thats how it started with bikes....

Some sort of competition such as quads in the x-games, dew action sports tour something of the sort and maybe speed or oln will pick up quad mx and back it to the full extent.

I remebered when I started to ride/race back when I was 5, the sport wasnt anything, the past 3-4 years have been insane!

Defiantely not. It's probably likely on a dirtbike, but I don't think it will ever be done on a quad.

The thing i'm hopin for the most is for quads to be as popular as dirtbikes. that'b be pretty awsome. maybe we'd start to see more atv makes come out and maybe more more atv shops and such.

i think the next thing is most likely some sort of porno film with quads in it

You know the bikes already have the 360 right?

A true 360 would be nice, a off axis backflip might be possible on a quad.

Hopefully there will be more coverage of events, and just random stuff like Jon's backflip over the train that will be put on the bigger TV networks. Maybe once people start seeing that, they will open up easier to quads, and with some luck more tracks that will allow quads to race or tracks for just quads.

hopefully some back flip heel clickers or nacs will be done.
but i thinkg the next big trick thats going to happen is the body varial. its very possible since the akraix guys are doing the seat grabs and are crazy enough to try it!!!

hopefully we will get more recognition. bikes have it all, hopefully we can get into the X games or action sports tour. our sport is growing rapidly, like Mxjunkie said, it was nothing 5-6 years ago and look at what it is now. the bikes are constantly growing, we are getting some factory support though not nearly as much as the bikes are. i can couch that is is easier to get a sponsor on a bike than it is a quad and i hope more sponsors and the factories will start to notice ATV's.

you guys don't truly believe bikes are gonna let quads get ahead or equal??? theres no way a quad will ever be as main stream for the simple fact that the riders will loose to much money!

This is a direct quote from the higher ups in that other industry...

They are milking as much as they can out of the bikes, because everyone knows its going stale fast....

Why do you think espn let quads get some tv time...it was a test...

We will get our time!

i agree the xgames 2 years ago i think were alot better then the xgames this past year. i mean travis didnt even have to do a 360 and didnt even try one and still one gold. i think the bike are slowing down alot and by that the quads wiil continue to progress and will catch up to the bike level

yah, bikes are gettin old fast, same thing over and over, its time for a change and i think people are ready for one. theirs so much progress left to be made in the quad world and i think people will enjoy watching it, as they did bikes on tv

01-12-2006, 04:25 PM
I think EPSN or cbs or something should cover the GNCs. then x-games. Then we get old a fade out like bikes.

not the place for it but something I've wanted to see since jon pulled the flip is and off axis flip. Go fo the flip but tilt in the middle and bring it back.....would kinda be like the bikes 360.

Im glad that they stated on discovery is that the quad is much hevyer than a dirt bike and how they did not talk about the dirtbikes for the most part. what I mean is all the credit was given to our industry.

I remember the first hare scramble that I was in back in 2001 there were actually several utility quads in it. This is in western kansas. But is seemed like the younger farmers and there kids would come out to a Sunday group ride and ride the farm machines around the track for an hour or so. Now you might see one and it is usually during a team harescramble and its a father and much younger son team or grandfather. I think that is cool though getting involved with your kids like that. Now though the farmers have 450s and such

It wasn't in the air. Well, sort of, but not off of a ramp. It was more of an endo-to-360.

The 360 we were referring to was hitting a freestyle ramp, rotating, and landing.:ermm:
