The carrier bearings went out on my 400 and I've been riding on it like this. Will this screw up anything severely? Will I have to change the entire carrier? I have an LSR axle.

no way of knowing untill you take it apart to inspect. But yes good possibility you may have to replace whole carrier

If you continue to ride it, plan on replacing the entire carrier as well as the axle.

Well, I got the axle off, there was no damage on it, it was still greased pretty good. I put the carrier in the oven for 30 min. and the bearings didn't come out no matter what I did. I think they sorta welded themselves in there from the heat and friction. What now? Does anyone have an idea on how I can get them out? If so, it would just be like a temporary thing for 2 hours of on and off riding for the weekend, then I would probably get a new carrier anyways. but I need it ridable for this weekend. Any ideas or suggestions?

get yourself a heavy punch and a hammer will do it,as long as your carrier isnt cracked you should be fine.dont damage it trying to get the bearings out though,i have seen the bearings come apart before due to abuse/neglect but if your determined you will eventually get the race out, good luck:)

Try getting the bearings out should be no big thing. go to the bearing house ( the peaple who sell bearings) The size is
62mmx40mmX12mm this's from service Honda web site.

try heating up just the carrier not the race if you heat them both they both will expand if you heat the carrier and not the race it should help (no garuntees) and on the "will it mess anything else up question" YES i rode mine like this and it mess all kinds of things up my brake caliper(because the axle was moving around and it wore out the brake pads and messed the caliper up BIG TIME) and you could possibly throw a chain and bust your case (again this happened to my 300 but 400's arnt as bad at doing that but hey it could happen) and i didnt replace the carrier but i ended up doing it like 4 months later because it went through another set of bearings

Keep pounding on them bearings they will come out my steering stem bearings were a pain and i mean a BIG PAIN in my you know what but i got it out :D just in time for my ride that weekend:D

Good luck man if you have any more questions post them there are several people on here that has had the same problem with getting the bearings out I AM SURE

I put some stock ones in because I will be changing the carrier soon anyways.

What do you mean going south again?

Even if you heat both up at the same time in the oven it should still work, because the aluminum carrier should expand more rapidly than the steel race.
