is it too lean?

i was roostin today on my ex in the pit and it ws runnin fine till i was almost at rev out and it will sputter, not bad enough so it effected it greatly but still wonderin, plus i dont want to tare all the plastic off if i dont have to...some how i know it will lead to that:D

Probably the main jet. Hard to say if its lean or rich. ( i would guess rich)

Would have to play with the carb a bit, install a larger jet. See what that does. If it gets worst, try going the other way and putting a smaller jet in there.

If neither of them ways work, put that carb back together, kick the tires, call your bike a few four letter words. and then just live with it..lol.

My bike does the same thing, depending on the weather, its to slight and high up there in the rpm range for me to worry about.

One thing you might try, is just clean the air filter. That possible could lean it up enough.
