300ex rear tire size?

The 300ex comes with 22x10 right. Well I see a lot of ppl go with 20x11 on rear. Is it no problem to go to the 11 in width? I have seen where ppl mention that 22 looks too tall. Does it make a big difference cause I will probably go with 20 in razrs if it doesn't. I mean i know it is only 1 in of clearance but I will be riding woods a lot where there will be mud and ruts. Just wanting some input.

i just bought 20 razr for my rear and they have about a inch or more than my brother when i had 22s on it.

i think mine looks too big even with 20 in rear XC's. Thats why im switching to the 20 in XCR. They are supposed to be slimmer.

20's work great on the 300ex even for trails unless you ride in really rutted or rocky areas. 22's always look way too large to me. Also I've noticed that some 20's appear larger than others. Here's a pic of mine with 20" knarly's

I have 20" razrs on my.They work fine in the trails.You will notice that you will bottom out a little more.Just avoid the nasty stuff and you'll be fine

The extra inch of width isn't a problem at all. If anything they will just hook up a little better.

I have the 20" razrs on my 300ex and i havn't had any problems...just bottom out a little more..but barely any more than i did with the stock 22's

I run 22x11x10 Maxxis SurTrak's when it's really muddy and rutty. Otherwise I like to run 20x11x9 Klaws. Up front I usually run Razr2's. If the course is particulary NASTY, I'll run my 6-ply kevlar belted Bandit XC's up front. Never had a flat or bent a rim with them monsters on.. lol. And by monsters.. I mean they gotta weigh 15lbs each.. lol.
