stock baffle

how do I remove the stock baffle on the pipe? I'm just looking for a better sound without having to buy a slip-on right now... will this hurt the engine any?

trust me it sounds like crap nd it doesnt do ne thing. Just save up for a real exhaust.

Just take the end cap off by the bolts, its worth a try to see if you like it. And if you wash it dont let the water get in there.

yea it sounds like crap just take everybodys advice on here and mine to thats why i made my own end cap sounds better than stock but quieter than a real pipe.

yea u might as well try it out,i ran mine like that for almost a month b4 i bought my slip-on,dont hurt anything and its louder then stock ;)

it wont hurt. i think it sounds better than stock cuz its deaper sounding. if u remove your air box lid it gets louder too. i no every one will say no it dont but try it. if u do it will jumps a couple dbs and u have to rejet. i no it will

Did it to mine, didn't sound all that bad, but wouldn't stay running because there was no back pressure! So I will deal with the stock sound until a little birdy drops a money seed in my yard!:rolleyes:

How long have you had yours out? Did u cut it out or take the whole thing out with the bolts? I took the bolts off and it runs fine, but needs rejeted here soon.

I put it back in because in order to run with it out you have to rejet, and I figured I would wait to rejet when I get another exhaust.

Thats a sign of jetting, you could run just the open header as long as it was jetted correctly.:)

Sure, I would rather wait to rejet when I got another exhaust though, but it's your bike and your choice!
