I don't find it to funny, why is texas on there? They just won not a week ago, football season dosent start for another 7-8 months, they havent had another chance. And I'm pretty sure USC won twice.

USC did not win the title out right they split it

And Texas is the sole national champion this year. The reason the sign is funny is all the sports writers and USC fans just kept on talking about the dynasty that they have created but only have one true championship to show for it.

correct. USC has no national title trophy for that year they "split" it with LSU. bunch of crap if you ask me.

It wouldn't surprise me if that huge sign was 10 g's. Billboard companies can usually get away with charging whatever they want especially by a major interstate. Trust me they'll find someone who will pay it.

In my personal opinion i don't think USC was the best team any of those years. 2003 was LSU , 2004 was Auburn and 2005 was Texas.
