Just mount the key somewhere in your plastic that is reachable, use a hole saw and clean up the plastic after with a light flame, make sure not to melt your plastic, Try a search you might find some info. Goodluck :)

Zip ty under your hood so you can see light and just leave the key on.

I rewired my ignition so that it uses the old thumb kill switch for an on/off switch. I use a tether kill.
I also have Trail-Tech lights, so I replaced the reg/green indicator bulbs with a red and green waterproof LED's mounted in 2 small holes I drilled in my bar clamp/light mount. ;)

I mounted mine on the other side and a little lower. It has worked well for the past 8 months and 9 hare scrambles. I mounted the temp light on the brake line with a zip tie. I first mounted it flush on the top of the stock hood but it was hard to see. This location seems to work better.

cb450r -- who did your graphics? Do you have a picture of the whole bike?

One Industries "Elsinore" graphics kit..
I got mine through Golden West cycle.
They are classic looking and i love them. I won't be changing them any time soon.
