Ok here it goes, I was wondering if anybody can help me out about starting my own home business. I am 20 years old and I want to open my own busniess out of my house. The problem is I am not sure what kind of busniess I should open! I want it to be related to ATV's and possibly dirt bikes too! I have plenty of mechanical experince. I first thought about having a hi-performance and repair shop but there is a quiet a few around where I live. Then I thought about a mail order for parts but there are plenty of them! I am on a real tight budget with no money too boot! Does anybody have any suggestions? Any idea would help!

you could make your own mx track hold your own races and get a pro shop that is how most magor pro level tracks got started by hard working people that had a big back yard

a home atv mechanic's course..teach other people how to work on their own quads. Also teach them all about how everything works and what everything does, like porting and stroking all that stuff. it's an idea:)

Just from the sounds of it, you have neither the means nor the motive to do any such job. If you did, you would have found a niche in the market and exploited it instead of asking people what kind of a business to open up.

buy a trailor and do the mailorder parts thing

you could go to the track with all kinds of oil gear and stuff and people could also order parts from you and pick them up at the next race or have it delivered to them at the next race

you also along with that you could bring a pressure washer and charge people to use it and stuff and you could service quads at the race

Let's just say I wanted to open my own hi-performace and repair shop in my garage. Do you guys think that it would be a good idea? Would you bring your quad to a guys shop that was his own garage?

is this garage in an area zoned for a business? were you planning on recording income or is this a cash only business? Have you thought any of this through?

Do the Mechanics class thing and run it out of a local dealership. Arrange something with a dealer so u draw people in to them and u get to use their premises to make some dough

I have seen some of those "sell your stuff on eBay" stores pop up here and there. Basically, you would list peoples stuf on eBay for them and take some of the money. This is more of a part-time kindof thing that would probably require little to no investment.

There is always grass cutting and sidewalk/driveway shoveling. I have a friend that cuts around 30 yards a week in addition to his full time job and makes decent money with it.
