Liquid cooled is going to give a little more power just because its staying cooler, with added heat comes a little bit of powerloss.

using licuid cooling you can make more extreme porting on a 2stroke but on a 4stroke i dont exactly know what would be better

liquid cooled keeps teh engine cooler than air cooled but requires more parts such as teh water pump, radiator, water jacket. an air cooled motor is more prone to power loss due to heat but can out perform a liquid cooled motor in certain conditions. The radiator of a liquid cooled engine is prone to becoming clogged in muddy or snowy conditon where the more open design of the cooling fins on an air cooled engine. the air cooled engines heat also dries the mud allowing it to break off the motor. good ole stone age technology can be better than the new age technology.
