If you want to calculate how many CC's you quad has, do you jsut multiply the bore and stroke? Or is it more complicated?

I have to know this b/c im going to be working on a guys wheeler, and his oil ring discenagrated.I jsut need to know how to claculate it b/c im not sure if it was bored or not, and the owner has no idea either. Thanks.

Im not doing it for mine, although it would be neat.Im doing it for a 230 quadsport too see if its on the stock bore, etc.
This old quadsport this guy has , has to be the worst looking quad ive ever seen.Trust me, you can't imagine how bad it is.

According to the AMA rule book, the proper formula for calculating dispalcement is as follows:

bore X bore X .7854 X stroke X # of cylinders

For example: the Z400 has a bore of 90mm & a stroke of 62.6mm

90 X 90 X .7854 X 62.6 X 1 = 398cc (divide the actual number by 1000)

I thought they did it like: pie(3.16) x bore x stroke

when you say bored over .2 or what ever it may be is that millimeters or what . i was just wondering when we talk about calculating by using bore and stroke and stuff.
