400ex choke removal with ported head

after reading the instructions on this site, I am wondering on a ported head if you have to go larger on the pilot jet than what is cited in the documentation? anyone have any experience with this? if so, can someone give me a heads up on what pilot jet to run to get the bike to start consistently?

No, you should not have to any bigger than the 42 pilot. A port and polish will only affect mid to topend power. Might want to play with the needle or main jet--- port and polish more AIR NEEDS MORE FUEL.
