I bought an old beater 300ex a while back from a kid that was really just a little full of it. Anyway trying to figure out wat is in the motor as far as cam and springs. It does have a 75mm 11-1 piston. I am not sure on the cam or springs or how to identifiy what I have. It does have duel valve springs and I did not know if the 300s had those stock or not. It does have new rockers. And what would be the stock cam mesured lift. I know it is .300 valve lift but how can I measure the cam or what is the lift from the top of the lobe to the cam core.

Thanks

Its a drop in cam from if it has .300 lift. Not very big at all, and yes 300ex's has duel springs stock.

the stock springs also have some yellow paint on one end. you need to remeasure the lift at the rocker arms, since the stock cam has .297"/.301" lift, its easy to be off .005-.010". the smallest web cam is .310 and megacycle is .335". if the cam is out of the head, flip the rocker cover upside down and spin the cam in it, then measure the lift at the rocker armsw w/dial indicator.
