I have a stock 450r. Can you guys give me some info on how to adjust/tighten the chain?
Also, what is the easiest/quickest way to judge the whether or not it needs it?

Thanks
This is all new to me, so go easy on me.......

You are required to ajust your cahin after it has more than a quarter inch of play in it. you can tell by just lifting up on it with your fingers. it is normal for chains to strech but keeping them well lubed, like after every ride helps tremendously

when you need to ajust your chain all you do is loosen the four allen bolts on the back of the swingarm, take the allen wrench and stick it in the bering carrier,(on the left) and pull down. if you never ajusted the chain before, it may be hard to pull down so push up adn pull down a few times until it starts to move up and down. ( when you ajust it you do not have to be perfict with the quarter inch thing just get it close)

I know this is a retarded question, but how do you check the play?
I have heard someone say that you should be able to squeeze three fingers between the chain and swingarm just behind the slider? Is this correct, or is it two fingers?
