hybrid or not

im sick of the lack of power should i make a crf hybrid or dump a bunch of money into a air cooled motor

If you were to mod out the air cooled engine,I still would think the newer water cooled would have the advantage,and thats in stock form.
What type of problems would be created by maxing out the old air cooled?
