sounds like your carb must need a cleaning or rebuild. it happened to my 300ex and i took the carb apart to find out that my needle was unscrewed not allowing the slide to move up and down.

it did the same exact thing you did. i would get a manual and take apart your carb to figure out what is going on. most likely dirt or a needle and jet problem

nah if it was that it wouldnt be running well at any throttle. my buddy had that problem and his quad didnt even start. its those little things that make you think for the worse when its nothing but a small fix.

Yea thats what I was thinking, if it was the stator it wouldnt run at all, but that is what someone though it could be.

On a scale of 1-10 (10 being hardest) how hard is it to clean the carb out, looks simple, but should I take it to a shop to have done?
