How much shorter 300ex shocks than 400ex

How much shorter are 300ex shocks than 400ex shocks and would they be good to have to race TT and Flat Track racing. If anybody knows where I could get a good decent set pm me and around what price should they be

alot. the middle by the stem what about 4 or 5 inches from the ground

300ex shocks are about 12" long and 400ex shocks are about 16" long
