Service manual - I can not find it

However I want to adjust the valves on my 400

can anyone help me out with this
Specifics:

procedure, tolerance, things to watch for.

1st--wash your quad---don't need any dirt to worry about. 2nd--pull off all plastic and tank. 3rd-- take out inspection plugs on shifter side---and wiith a 17mm socket rotate engine COUNTERCLOCKWISE until you see vertical mark with a sidewaze T in the little insp. hole, line up with mark on engine case. 4th-- remove the 4 valve cover plugs on valve cover, check for play in all 4 rocker arms, good time to double check clearance on valves .004 on intake, .005 on exhaust. it is a hassle to get feeler gauge in between , had to bend mine. slide feeler gauge in between and loosen nut and with a screwdriver turn the screw down lightly until the feeler gauge has some drag on it. hold screw and tighten nut,check clearance again,and repeat on all rocker arms.
