Is it possible to shorten stock shocks

Can I send my stock shocks some where to get shortened for TT and flat track racing and if i did get them shortened after i got them shortened can i still put on some +2 a-arms along the way after i save up some money thnx for any help

the shocks are 400ex so can i get them shortened

The only thing you could do to shorten them would be to cut the springs shorter... It might be easier to just buy shocks from a smaller ATV, or put in struts... I don't think that it would be a good idea to put +2 a-arms and stock shocks together, and definately not if you cut the springs.
