I have a stock frame 250r and race mx and what is a AMP LINK and what it do:confused:

Ahaha its a piece that supposedly keeps the frame rigid,i heard its nothing but a POS,and its deffiantly not worth the 200 something dollars.

An amp link is supposed to alter the power transfer higher into the chassis of the bike for better traction. This is usually not an issue on the 250R, more for Banshees. The 250R is set up very close to perfect when stock, so an amp link is probably a waste of money for it.

From my understanding, the Amp Link kept tension on the chain, so you never had any "take up" as soon as you started to move the sprocket, you start moving, vs the little bit of slack you normaly have to pull tight before you move.....

However, I have been wrong before.

i had one on my banshee and it worked very well,the rollers wore out alot though!
as stated in all the above replys the 250r has none of the issues that pertain to needin an amp link though so save your money and buy premix or somethin!
