i had a 92 wrangler, as gutless as it was, it would go through pretty much anything. Mud, snow, ice, rocks, most of lake (long story there). I took my jeep places i wouldnt even think about takin my Z71.

How? You're not even old enough to drive.

I had a Jeep with basic 32" radials, and a 3" body lift. That went thorugh MORE mud/snow/trails than most any Ford/Chevy/Dodge I was up against. The short wheelbase is perfect, especially for tight trails.

And like the guy said above, they are so light they just bounce around and float over all the ruts

how well it goes is all in how well it is set up. me and my buddy have basically the same truck, same heigth lift and all, but our lift methods are different. mine is add-a-leafs and his is blocks. my trcuk will go twice as good as his does. I do have to say jeeps are more for rocks than mud, but they can go more places than other stuff will. it is all in the setup, not just the vehicle. mud is about traction, momentum, and luck.

i have no problems in mudholes with mine
i have pulled fords and chevys out and mine just has basic radials and no lift kit.i think ur crazy if u think they suck in mud.they were made to get through the mud.thats why the military used them for so long.

kyle

p.s. my ex ran into the front of mine and i was wondering if any of you know where to get a cool aftermarket front bumper, stock driver side fender, grill, and left headlight surround for a 96 jeep cherokee?

do i have to drive to know what im talking about?? ive been around this **** my whole life and have dealt with it a ****load of times.. Was the chevy that got "stuck" 2wd?? it could have been extended cab too big for that mudhole you didnt even tell us the specs on it.. dumbasses

Man how can a truck be to big for a mudhole? I can see it if you said the mudhole was to big for the truck...As for specs, its my opinion that it doesnt matter so much what you drive, its how you drive it. I drive a 94 Chevy Z71 extended cab with a 6.5 diesel everyday and i have no trouble going where my travels take me. Btw, i work in the oilfield, i have delt with some serious mud in my day. Smarten up or shut up.

Mxjunkie

it was a 6ft bed, extended cab. it just sunk, both of them did, same with the other trucks.

and yes they had 4wd

You really don't need to cuss to get your point across. What that point is you are trying to prove, I don't know and really don't care now. My question is, why do you come into a thread that is asking to see nice Jeeps, then bash them? What did you think was going to happen? I believe your knowledge of cars and driving experience as much as I would believe some hooker on the street corner telling me it's her first time. Come on, grow up.

for teh Bumper, it is all in how much you want to spend. ARB has some nice stuff but you pay for it. Poison spider stuff is cool as well. Just pick up a petersons 4 wheel and offroad or Fourwheel magazine and look in the ads. as for the rest of the stuff, i say a salvage yard or lookin the autotrader for parts.

Sure, but that wouldn't have been nearly as fun. I didn't build it to go around stuff.
