well if you race/ride MX only then dont use a skid plate, swingarm skids for MX will be nothing but trouble, they get caught on ruts and all.

Actually I dont race. At the time when I bought the linkage I didnt know if it mattered which one I got from gt thunder. I am just a reacreational rider. I ride woods, and sand pits usually. I just know with the stock skid and gt thunder linkage I have to cut the skid for it to work.

I think your gonna find that you'll have to cut all the aftermarket skids just like the stock one.....

www.prm-atv.com They make one without the linkage box. I think they call it a duner plate.

yes they do make a duner plate....but its only 1/8" thick...it won't last very long in the woods......3/16" is good but the 1/4" one from PRM you will never hurt......just trim out where it doesn't fit and be done with it...thats what I will do when I do mine

No I dont mind cutting it out I was just wanted to make sure I get the right skid. I bought the ac belly that is ok but the nerfs are really annoying me. The pro pegs are dull after a year and the nerfs rattle alot. So Im not to happy with AC lately. Thanks for the info guys. What are you using to cut the plate a dremel tool?

ac is far from junk, they make some of the best products on the market, i run the .250 heavy duty rear skid on mine, if you dont need something that thick you can do with the .190, either will work with the linkage, i didnt even have to cut mine

I had an Armadillo on my 04 and the linkage box was very easy to remove.
