my 400 ex vs stock 2005 z400

my mods : curtis sparks x-6 , k&n filter , degree key , cdi , dyno jet

who do u think will win ? because i raced one today i stayed with the z till 3rd gear and then he started taking off is this normal ?

i also have awierd sound coming from the motor,it ticks rapidly i have recently changed the piston and the valves and new gaskets so what could be the problem ?

did you ever adjust or readjust your valves?

Valves would be my guess. I dont know with your mods i dont think he would pull away that soon. But yes the Suzasaki will pull from an ex. Geared higher.
