when i was cleaning my frame today i pushed my quad backwards. i noticed that they chain got really tight. but when i pushed it foward it got loose and back to normal.
what could be the problem

sounds like the nuts on your swingarm that holds your axle carrier in are loose

I don't understand why. Honda makes the best and easiest to maintain rear ends around. All the other manufacturers are just now copying the design.

have you ever tooken a rear axel assembly apart on a 300ex than went to a blaster?

I love honda's rearends. Once you figure it out the first time it makes all the other fixes to it quick and easy.

On my 300ex I drilled out the holes for the allen head bolts and made it a pinch type like aftermaket, worked awsome :devil:

I think his question is regarding the fact that the 300ex rear end is already a pinch style with two allen head bolts that tightens it down on the cam style carrier.
At least my 1998 300ex is.
