I recently bought an almost stock 90 off Daryl Rath. What did you guys replace the lame handlebars with? I was thinking about some T2 mini bars, what levers?

Thanks

levers and cables can be used off most mini bikes.

i tried replacing ours, but cody told me he would kick my rear end if i didnt put them back:ermm:

cody runs stock, has for teh past 2 seasons.

we replace teh cables about twice a year but thats it. they are cheap, and has hard as he rides and wrecks, replacing them is gravy

we will be adding flexxbars after some testing. i have a set here but have not had a chance to install them and get all the new levers etc. he is way past the point of the suspension so every little bit of help we can get will benefit us.

YOU CAN USE MOST ANY BAR AS LONG As they are not to high because the cables wont reach. as for the levers i have been using msr cr80 clutch lever and perches on both sides and removing the adjuster

I have converted the front end to 300ex components so I needed a place to mount the master cylinder. My son likes the stock bars so I Dremeled the bracket off for the front brake lever.

Dirttrack71>> So what do you think of your front end conversion? How does the quad handle now and how much wider then stock is it? After you bought the kit from diamond J what other parts did you have to buy to finish the conversion?

Well it is like riding a 300ex with no power. The suspension is great now it needs more power. My son raced it last season at our local track bone stock everything. We went and practiced a couple of weeks ago and was instantly 5 seconds a lap faster. This was the very first time out on the new conversion. The kit is quality made but I think lacked in the R&D. I have had to modify a few things and reinforce a couple of weak points. They are good about helping out through e mails. I would have thought the kit would have been more of a bolt on and go type thing but all in all its not bad. Sunday he has a race so I will be able to see how it is in compitetion. After you buy the kit you have to come up with 3 front shocks from a 300ex, upper and lower a arms 400ex tie rods. spindles, hobs, brakes. Basicly everything off the front of a 300ex. Let me get it back together tommorow and I will get some pics up to show yall.
