2005 and 2006 compatabilities

Hey,

I want to put a Moose swing arm skid and chassis skid on my 2006 honda 450r. The problem is that Moose only makes 2005 model skids. Would the 2005 skids work on my 06'. I know that the swingarm is longer but I don't know if the bolt pattern is diff.

What are some other parts that are the same for 2005-2006, and What are the parts that are different from 2005-2006.

I hope that this will help others out when they are figuring this same problem with other parts. Hopefully everyone can have some input and I will compile a list of compatable parts and non-compatible parts.

i know the omf radiator scoops from 04-05 fit

also the footpegs are the same

The only changes for the frame skidplate are the holes for draining the oil and the tranny fluid. I know PRM is making a 2006 specific model for the frame skidplate. They didn't want to do one version that had unneeded holes in it.

I looked at an 04' today and looked at the skid plate. It looks like the bolt holes will line up. I'm going to order the 05' Moose skids and hope they work for the 06'.

Yea, all the bolt holes line up fine. The only issue is when you drain your fluids. The location of the drain holes changed. It is easy to add the additional holes but it just weakens the skidplate in that area.
