Top Ends

How can you **** up a 250R motor? How much are top ends. Is it really easy to blow a top end?

You can screw up ANY motor. Running lean jetting can cause it to sieze, or running the **** out of it before it properly warms up can cause it to sieze.

If it's just the top end, it's not too bad. $60 for a bore and hone, $100 for a new piston, and $40 for gaskets.

The R can take a beating........ Break in your motor properly and let it warm up before you go tearing on it. If you do those things id say its pretty hard to f*** up the top end.
