Keep the RPMS down. Don't rev out the machine. Don't give it more then 1/4 throttle. Do this for about 2 gas tanks.

there is no way i can keep it at 1/4 throattle for 10 hours. I have a race Feb 5 and this wont be back together until next weekend. I dont have land to ride on so is there a such thing as a hard break in?

theres always going to be a difference of opinion as far as engine break in goes, ask 10 different people you'll get 10 different answers! i was told a long time ago to use varied throttle with no big loads on the motor for a half hour or so.by then the motor is up to temp and the cylinder and rings are seated etc.i have never had a problem with this in the 18 yrs or so i have been riding/wrenching;)
