I know there is not too much love for this type of quad with the MX guys, but here goes.
Its 99% complete and the last 1% will be decided on the dyno.
Thanks to Venom Powersports

Great Job Kam! Looks great! Why so many paddles. I thought less was better, Say a 6 paddle or so?

Kam looks great..Where did you get the header wrap that lays over well like that? All the stuff we have is for asphalt drag stuff and is super hard to bend.

Look closeley at the paddles, they are not haulers.
I am not sure that they are the ones to run, they just looked the best.
Header tape takes lots of patience, time, and superhuman strength to make look good.
Its nothing special, your average wrap.

I like the roll-out that your paddles seem to have. Isn't your paddles larger in diameter than typical?

you'll cross the line first if your engine can muscle larger "roll-out" than the others that line up against you with relatively similiar power.

Looks like you've done real good thinking with all the details on winning.

static rollout is far different than dynamic rollout...imagine those at their centrifugal limit!!

It all comes down to getting it in the right RPM range that makes the engine happy, coupled with the ability to launch hard.

6' 4" 235 does not fare well for hillshooting.
My brother/partner is 170 and will ride it.

Well, I'm going to be sure I buy the FSW DVD from ATVFANACTICS.com again this year to see your R on the starting line.

Hope things go good for all and no tires get tangled like last year when that rider got flipped near the starting line,...

doh!

With a last-second back up engine?

We did not take 4th, we lost in the qualifiers.
I know for a fact we could beat two of the bike in the final be many lengths, in fact we beat one in the one qualifer we won.
We had an issue with pistons and valves kissing, and ruined our big number head 3 days before we left (not to mention we ruined our good piston and had to run an old piston we retired a while back).
We left quite a few hp and ft lbs at home, and were still within 1-2 bike lenghts of the winner.
Our bike ran consistently in the 55-56 mph range on the big end of the hill.
We had a good time and met some good freinds.
As much as you would like to try to take away from that Iceracer, you can't.

Good to hear you had fun. That's what its all about-fun.

Many of us heard of your stock valve spring float probally before you did on your cruise. That suks.

Better luck next year.

looks pretty kickass, I like the black cylinder and head cover. I dunno, I'm a fan of blacked out engines for some reason. Old school racer fan. :D
