what gives, tried to use the brake (when I park it for the night).

but it won't lock up the wheels...I see it pulling at the rear brake lever, but it still rolls. I didn't do anything to it, to my knowledge.

any thought?

thanx

If you actually want it to work, it probalbly has to be adjusted up. I'm pretty sure that when the parking brake is adjusted to where it works, it runs down the brake pads real quick though.

Just leave it in gear it won't go anywhere. The 400ex parking brake is junk they hardly ever work.

Parking brakes on quads dont last very long. Mine didn't work after the 1st day.

The parking brake is not self-adjusting like your car. If you want it to work, you have to adjust it dang near every ride.

It will work every time but you have to adjust after you use each time so its not worth it. Just put it in gear works just as good.

the parking brake isnt supposed to make the wheels stop moving...it just makes it harder to roll

So you're sayin, leave it like it is and get a parking break block off?

Yep it's junk, If mine does work then then it sticks. I have to pull the lever back at the rear axle. You would not think it would be so tough to make a decent brake. Just put a line lock on the front brakes. that would be cheaper to do than the contraption they have on there and besides most of the weight is on the front anyway. The only time I really like to use it is when I am trailering them anyway. time to get a couple block of plates I guess.

yeah, I know, I just liked to use it when towing and parking. I really think that I just need to adjust it, that's all.
