Ok so i have a lite on 16x External DVD+RW Drive. what i got a problem with is, i can burn CD's fine,, take from my playlist and everything and put them on CD. But none of my Cd players will read my CD ... computer, cd player, cd player in my truck,, nothing BUT my dvd player will and play it fine and clear. On my CD players it acts like i didn't put a disk in. (not reading)... I'm using a "CD-R" cd there the "black" memorexs. Can any one give me a hand?

sounds to me you are burning in the wrong format... they need to be in .wav for 90% of the cdplayers on the market. when you download songs they get downloaded into an mp3 format. what you need to do is convert them to a .wav file before you put them on a disk.

what software are you using to burn your music?
with nero there is an option that when you create a disk you can choose to normailize the cd witch willl do the conversions for you..

the one i would sugest for audio burning to make life simple is itunes. all you do is drop your files into a playlist that you want to put on a cd then click burn in the top right and it will do all the conversions and work for you...

Trust me on this, I had the exact same problem. The black Memorex discs suck, they make more coasters than working CD's. Get a regulr CD-R and try it. I bet it works.

What CD software are you using?

Are you buring a "Data Cd" or a "Music Cd".

There is a difference. If you just drop your mp3's onto a CD they won't play in a regular CD player.

When you burn a music CD it takes your mp3's and re-encodes them.

I'm assuming that is your problem.

Some older and even newer devices (players) will not ready CD-R's or RW's. Just a heads up.
