Stock spark arrest

On my 02 400ex my stock spark arrest fell out and the bolts are snapped off inside the muffler. I don't really mind too much the noise but I just want to make sure I won't be running lean or if this will harm the motor?

no it should be fine cuz it barly increases air flow. but if u have stock jetting then 400ex's come running lean.

alright, cuz I've noticed it backfires a little bit more than it used to... unless it just sounds louder and I notice it more but I'm pretty sure I'm hearing more backfiring

Shouldn't have leaned it out any but its not a bad idea to check the color of the spark plug tip.
