one freind has a 416ex with a cam and a fatboy4 exhaust and another freind had a z400 (somethin was broke guy bought it back now he has a kfx but pretty much same thing right) well wat bike is faster wich would have more power and wich would win in a drag race

416 ...my buddy got an 06 kfx w.hmf full and jetted and i beat him in a drag. not by much though

I just raced a KFX and a Z400, and both races were neck-and-neck.

my 416 smokes a Z until bout 5th tapped...then the Z starts to creep up on me. The kid i race has a T-4, K&n and jets. It wasnt even a race honestly...this kid beats me on the track so he is a very good rider.

i have a 400ex mostly stock and a buddy that had a arctic cat 400 and i can beat him. riding ability is about the same also.

Displacement is only one number in the power calculation. Compression, porting, exhaust, intake and exhaust angle, cam lift, cam duration, cam timing, ignition timing, intake and exhaust efficency, harmonics, crank case and transmission efficency, engine temperature, sparkplug location, etc.. all play as much of a part in the power game.

That's why a CRF450R will smoke an XR650R

A CR250F motor will also smoke a 300ex motor. ;)

true but a 300ex has more torque.a 300ex has a topend that will last at least 10 times longer than a crf250.a 300ex will go longer between oil changes,a 300ex has valves that will last 25 times longer than a crf250,a 300ex has reverse,a 300ex has electric start,a 300ex is easier to work on,a 300ex is pretty much bullet proof.a 300ex can ride 2 up easier,a 300ex is heavier,therefore you feel like you actually got more for your money:D a 300ex will pull a sled in the snow,a 300ex will...

when my 400ex was stock i beat 2 of my friends who had pipes and filter and jets,now 1 has a cam and he dogs me lol
but mines not stock anymore ;)

I lined up in a holeshot drag race against 3-predators and a z-400 and smoked all of them 3-times off the line and on topend of course i was on a 250 r my displacement is only half of a predator it felt good to smoke those fellows
