Has anyone tried replacing the studs on their stock hubs on a 400 ex. I was told you have to replace the entire hub, but at 119 a hub I would rather find some other way.

$119:eek2: you need to find a better oem parts supplier

the studs can be knocked out and a new or even a used on installed. maybe you can remove it and rethread it?

Ok, new question, has anyone ever tried putting a 02-04 hub on a 99-01. Service honda has different part numbers for the two different years, yet the axle is the same between 99-04. Does the hub not directly mount to the axle, meaning a 04 hub should fit the 99. I thought all 400 ex hubs would swap out.
