Engine swap?????

Will a 87 or 88 cr250r engine fit into a 250r? Is it the same engine they are both 250's.

I'm pretty sure they are different in ways. But that doesn't mean you can't fit it in a 250r quad frame.

the mounting locations arent even close,but it can be done.i did a blaster with a cr250 motor.flat out hauls the mail:D

I always heard the dirtbike motors made 6 - 8 more HP than the quad motors.....not sure if thats true or not though

yeah its true,mx bikes are designed for comp. where a quad can be ridden by a 6 yr old.thats why all are detuned from the factory.case and point,a raptor can gain almost 8hp with just a slip on! they like most atvs come "pre choked" stock:D
