I'm wanting to get a little bit more power out of my quad without tearing it up. So it's looks like a 406!! I'm wondering what are all of the top quality things to do when building a reliable 406. for example, new valve seats, which cam, slip-on exhaust fine? Just fill me in on the right way to build a reliable engine.

Any idiot can tighten a bolt. It takes a lot of research, as well as practical experience, to learn how to build a powerful yet reliable motor.

It's not the type of information that can be quickly summarized in a quick 100-word post.

If it's power and reliability you want, you have a few options. Either spend countless hours on research, or pay out your nose to have a professional do it for you.

I understand that. I'm going to have a professional bore it. I just want to know what are some things I should do to it when it's torn down. What are the best products, pistons, compression, cam, etc. Just needing help.
