i will be getting a set of pro armors. i am not sure if i should get the race series or not? i am not very hard on my bike and i don't race really but nerfs do add safety. i noticed that there is a decent price difference too. i know many people complain with nerfs that come with their own pegs because the pegs are either too close or far from the shifter, or even too high or too low. i don't want to mess with this kind of stuff. i am thinking for my riding style that the regular ones with kick ups will be fine but i had to ask...

race series? are you talking about the sport series? if so, i havent seen a set of sport series.

i just installed a set of fat peg series nerfs from them, i was very happy. the pegs are just slightly wider than stock but they are much sharper, steel, and replacable for $31 so i wont need to buy another set of ac pro pegs every year. if foot posistion changed with them, its so minor i cant noticed it.

i also have a z400 in my garage with their standard series with heel gaurds, they worked out well too

i would say definitly go with the propegs. unless you can afford roll design pegs and the regular pro armor nerfs work with them, i say the race pegs. they have been really good to me besides a little fabrication putting them on. but thats with any propeg.

al little tender hammering and pushing and sweat. lol, no, it was all worth it in the end. i did have my heelgaurds welded and gusseted though. if you do a search, you will find the pics.

i guess you are stressing the race series primarily due to the pegs themselves? if so, why?

no no, not stressing the pegs at all. when i first had them, i mounted them so they would be lower but i sacrificed ground clearance of the heelgaurds. when i would jump, they would bottom out, thus cracking after awhile. i then opted to take em off and have the cracks welded and mount them the right way. now i have a extremely sturdy, awesome nerf bar.

i still am not sure why that makes you recommend the race series over the regular ones? from what i see in the picture the only difference is that the race series comes with pegs and the other series use the stock pegs. both have the same heal guards.
