Take the sensor wire and attach it to a good ground.

you can do this, or another way is get a wiring diagram and take the fan wire under the hood out and make a wire to connect that to ground, that is what i have done because when i did what wppracing said my overheat light ran all the time, and i didnt like that, so i wired it the other way

not sure, you can check the wiring diagram in the manual and it will tell you, just follow it up to the wire that would be under the hood that controls the fan and ground it
