hmf + powerbomb for 450r HELP FAST!

hey, i just bought a powerbomb header thinking that it would slip on to my hmf slip-on without any modification. it doesn't seem to fit, is there any special gasket i need or anything? Any help ASAP would be greatly appreciated!

what do you mean it doesnt fit?? is there a gap or something? if there is you can go to a local muffler shop and have a filler piece made that you can clamp right in i had that problem on my 300ex once and went to the muffler shop and they fixed me up for 5 dollars

the header fits over the slip-on and i think its supposed to be the other way around because the headpipe is not clampable and the end of the slip-on is! maybe this setup doesn't work on 450r??

probly not but if you want to make it work got to a muffler shop they can fix you right up

Sounds like his problem is that the Slipon is made to go over the stock diameter pipe, and the header is a larger diameter.

I'd call HMF and see what they can do for you.

Just a question. Why not get an FMF silencer?

I'm pretty shure u need that adaptor. I thot I saw one forsale on this site a while ago, thats the only time I have heard of one tho.

yeah, thanks for the help guys. I found someone to buy my slip-on for a pretty good price so i just ordered the titanium shorty silencer a few days ago. thanks for the help anyways!
