what should i look at when buying a 88 250r??

ok everyone what should i look at when i go look at a 88 race ready trx250r?

Check out the frame, looking for any cracks or anything like that. A big thing that got me was a leaking case so make sure you slide you hand underneath the engine to check for oil. Im sure others will have alot more but those are 2 big ones that could come back to haunt you. Where are you from in Warren? I live really close to Bloomsbury.

frame cracks. wiring that is hacked. Axle play. Ball joint play. Shock play. Ride it. Steering stem play. Those are some main ones.

this is a lil side note i always check for when gettin a new quad...how clean the airfilter is bc to me that shows the person mainteined (sp) it and dint jus throw it in the garage after every ride...check if things are bent and ride it to see if it feels right...
