If i got a crf450 motor, how hard would it be to put it on a 04 LSR 250r frame? Ive heard good and bad things about swapping motors, would it be better to send it to like ecatv or some place and have them do it? if so how much would it be?

Well if the frame is a 250r frame, then you will have to chop it up so that it will accept the taller 4 stroke motor. And that is pretty dumb if you ask me. But if the frame is meant to accept a crf motor, then it should bolt right in. My suggestion would be to leave the 250r alone and buy a hybrid rolling chassis.

what he said , there is not much better of a quad though than a crf motor , and 250r geometry...

it won't work and even if it does work.....the thing won't handle worth a S$$$.........the CRF is too tall and then you ruin a perfectly good frame......I even called Lonestar to ask them about a conversion and they said no way.......buy a frame that is suppose to work.....

johns right lsr, walsh, and a few others still make crf frames

walsh will be a hefty price tag as there frames ar 2k+, and all walsh components have to be used from what i can remember

yea walsh would deff be too expensive.

i was just wondering because in the for sale list they have keith littles last 250r quad, complete lsr/axis that i was thinkin about gettin but i dotn like 2 strokes. but it might be a little expensive to get a frame and a motor.
