What Would be the best big bore kit to use with pump gas?

What all can i do to my engine and still run 91 but get the most power out of it?

I think any kit that has a piston with less than 12:1 compression such as 11:1 should run on pump gas someone please correct me if im wrong.

Thanks.
What else should i do.

What cam options do i have.

On another note.
How are the R shocks on a Ex.

That is typically true..night need to adjust timing a little but you can run 11:1 on pump gas.

450r Shocks work good on the Ex lookin for a cheap set for myself as for cams ive heard for bottom end theyre no good and in some cases you lose bottom end power but for mid to top end they create good power.

Hm Thats something i didnt think about.
Ill have to do some research.

Yeh ive seen the R shocks on Ebay for around $200.
Works has a spring upgrade for it.
Heard anything about it?

ST87

I have a question.
Alot of you guys have maier plastic.
How do you like them.
Ive heard nothing but bad things about them but have never actually had them.

The price is great but what is the downside in buying them.

I hated mine, they looked great but fit like crap! Floppy rear fenders too... :ermm: I wont buy another set unless Im penny pinching and forced to . The only thing I liked about them was the priceand the silver ones I had hid scratches and scuffs VERY well...everything else I was not too happy with
Of course this is only my opinion but I like my fullbores ALOT better ...........aside of the PRICE of them :scary:

Nothing can beat factory plastic- its very giveing and can take alot of abuse, I had my Maier plastic for just over a week, went rideing in the heavy mud- now I have numerous spider cracks in the rear plastic- I just drilled holes to stop the cracks and zip tied it- Any aftermarket plactic is going to be very rigid( stiff )- they wont beable to hold up to the abuse you can put on factory plastic. I only wish Honda offered mulitple colors in plastic. As far as compression ratios, I was told on a 11:1 piston it was safest to run around 93-94 octane gas to be safe, the higher the compression the higher octane you gotta run. I mix 2 gal of 112 and 3 gal of 89, Im pretty safe with that and it doesnt really cost a whole lot either beings gas prices are on the rise again- race gas has only went up around .25-.30 a gallon in 5 years- how much has pump gas gone up-lol

for the com ratio dong go over 11:1 on pump gas
i like a 426 kit, great power and revs decently fast. like it the best of all the big bores
the cams, it depends on what you want to do. my WB all around cam has great bottom end but pulls hard through top end as well. a Hotcams stage 2 will pull harder ontop but wyou will sacrafice the bottome in order to get it. it depends on how you ride. I like a torquer motor compared to one that revs to the moon. i dont us High RPM's that much and have no need for a top end cam.

the R shocks are good, but i would get a set of shocks made for the EX before the r shocks unless teh R shocks were rebuilt and valved for the EX.

maier plastic has vastly improved in the past few years in quality. for the price it id good quality. of couse i would take fullbore over it anyday but on a budget i say get maier.

if you are putting all that money everywhere else, why paint the plastic? if you are spending that much on a quad why no just buy new plastic or if you old ones are still good use them? sounds like a winner to me other than that though

BombSquadEx

Yeh thats true.
I just want a different color.
Painting its only gonna cost me about $40.
Where as fullbores are gonna cost me like $600-$700.
Plus i dont mind if my painted ones get scratched up.
