hey jak1389 what track is that?

jak1389
01-02-2006, 04:13 PM
that track would be njorvp in chattsworth nj. unfortunatly i have heard from a local that their tracks have went down the toilet on the arrival of a new track groomer who has no idea what he is doing and instead of making jumps he makes bumps.

to all those peope racin.. is there a certain way to ramp.. i got a few ramps at my house by the river.. and sometimes i noisediv bad or front end comes up.. i usually hold it wide open in 3rd gear.. then coast and then floor it again at the ramp.. ??

400exc
01-02-2006, 08:07 PM
lean a lil forward at the bottom of the ramp, and pull back at the top of them jump, and if the front end comes up on ya, press of the rear brake, and dont floor it until you get used to it unless your already used to it

2006-400ex
01-02-2006, 08:08 PM
well usually i ramp good.. but 1 time i got cocky as hell and hit it pegged.. through me like 40ft off the ramp and i did a bad noise dive and it knocked me off lol

2006-400ex
01-02-2006, 08:10 PM
i usually try to do sorta like a bunnie hop when i jump 2 .. right b4 im about to ramp

400exc
01-02-2006, 08:15 PM
well like i said hit the ramp again, and if the front goes up, hit the rear brake and see if it goes down, it should work

dude as long as your bike doesnt shut off in the water and the exhaust goes under and your air filter goes under your fine, dont be a pu**y, and if its salt water then you need to wash it off imideatly or your bike will pay the price

400exc
01-03-2006, 07:31 PM

ah man we ride our quads up above the rear fenders in water, jsut keep the front end in a water wheelie and you wont have any troubles, remember your snorkle is right near the top of the frotn of the seat so keep water off that area and your good to go,

but thinking about it I highly doubt ill ever hit the mud and water like i used to after i get done with my rebuild, casue you know itll be too pretty :( guess ill have to learn to go around the mud on the trails or take one of our utes out :chinese:
