I never rode a aircooled r, I know my atc250r with all the engine mods is like riding a rocket on 3 wheels.

I have owned a 86R atc and and a 81 and 82 aircooled R atc. Fast and fun. I have also owned 2 85 350x. THe old aircooled felt more like a fourstroke with a ton of tourqe, but not a much top end as the 86. The 86 was so fast. I top out at 79 mph with it.
Actually my YFZ is my first quad I have ever owned. the first generation R's looked slow compared to the 85-86 years. but would really suprise someone that just thought it was a big red.

I bought it for $700 bone stock. Still had the paint on the cases. Last time out i had to barrow a Banshee:o , all I did was complain about not having my bike to ride. God I LOVE my R!!:D
Nice Rs everyone, i am looking to get a ATC 250R for a decent price/ or restore one soon :)
