just installed wisco 10-1 piston with cometic gaskets .043 head gasket and hondabond for base gasket. Was there issues with lower compression on this piston in a 400ex with a standard bore. Also ported and polished exh. side minor clean up on int. side. Have full-HMF,no-toil filter, no airbox lid. 178 main, clip down 1 notch,42 pilot with no choke. Anybody have a guess at HP level? And what is the comp. with this setup?

Sorry for the confusion. Is the compression higher or lower than 10-1.

Don't think so. Look on Wiseco's website or JE's website

I'm pretty sure the compression issue is with only the 440 Weisco pistons.

A Stock bore 10:1 should be 10:1. With a 440 Wiseco a 10:1 compression is only about 9:1.

This was a problem in the past . I have never heard if Wiseco corrected it or not on the 440s.
