440 valve train noise

i have a 99 400ex with the 440 kit and stage II hot cams... it sounds like it has a knock to it at certain rpms but im not sure if thats normal. its not obnoxiously loud, but noticeable. the quad runs great and doesnt smoke, and timing is fine...

anyone else have this issue?

yes i have the same noise and was wondering maybe if it is the valves or timing. should i adjust my valves?

my timing seems perfect, and i cant feel any vibration.. no loss of power, so i assume the valves need adjustment

my 440 with stage 3 doesnt tick at all at any rpm the clearance is set at 5 & 6 thou (how are your rockers?)mines an 02 with a lot of miles but the rockers showed very little to no significant wear
