ds650 go faster then a slightly modded 440 with just a white bros exhaust

i raced a ds with a ronwoods stage 2 in it we raced a bunch of times and i only won 2 times but that was because he stalled off the start. wouldnt even count that as a win.

hell yeah there fast dude. you got a 650 Rotax engine Vs. an air cooled 400. of course, the 400ex is probably much more nimble riding through the trails and woods. but straight up drag racin, the DS takes the cake.

I beat piped ones all the time... I cant beat them in a topend race though because they have alot of that. I can only beat em in a drag... and this is sand drag with similar tires...

Dude what are you on to think a 660 or honda would pass a ds.I've raced many quads with my ds.I have mods but no internal and i spank the shi& outta 400's,modded 400's,660's and built banshees in a drag race.Everyone was talkin how fast the 450's were gonna be and i spanked the shi& outta those 2, even a guy who works at a yamaha shop and thought his 450 was the greatest.If my ds was 100lbs lighter, there would be nothing at all that would touch the ds650's.Thats there only downfall is their weight.

nothing would touch it unless you had to turn the handle bars! that's where every other quad listed would have it for lunch. Keep them (DS) staight and they are bad ***, but on a track or trail with jumps and forget it.

It all depends on what you want to do with your quad. I bought a new 05 400ex, and think it is a great all around bike. I could have had any bike on the market, but there was only one good all around one made (400ex). Not the best or worst in every catagory but good in all.

my friend has a ds650 he beats me when we drag race but i can beat him through the trails he claims that the tires dont grab the ground because of all the power on the ds650

I've got a 2001 400ex with a lot of mods and I have never had any problems with the ds650. Not trying to take anything away from your bike, but I've out run them in a drag several times and never a problem on the trail.

I can beat my friends 2000 ds650 all day up sand mountain! Ds650's are fast on flat land but you race them up a big Sand hill and they are heavy and slow, when my 400ex was piped his bike barely beat me and my dads dvx400 smokes it and it just has a rev box, pipe, and K&N. Not to mention you put them on a trail or a track and they handle as bad as my old scrambler! :rolleyes:
