Good Deal!!

I bought a 2005 Honda 450R today from the insurance company. It was one that they had a claim on, and would not fix. I got it for $700. It will cost me about $600 to put it back in shape. What do you guys think?:D

They have a 2005 Raptor also, but they want $1800 for it. and it needs more work. It needs a pipe, front plastics, headlights, and a sub frame.

I was at the Atlanta car auction and got introduced to some sellers that turned me onto buying them. I got onto a buyers list with a couple of brokers that sell for the insurance companies. Now when they get something, they give me a call to see if I am interested. It saves them money from going to auction.

its kinda a smart thing to do I mean most people start modding them firt thing so just mod it cause your going to do it anyways I might have to try that:confused:

I don't care much for the 450R, but I thought I could make some money off it. My plans were to put a set of ASR arms on it, a set of shocks, and a rear axle and sell it for around $3500. I would still make about $1500 and make someone a good deal at the same time.

This was a really good deal. I bought a 2004 yfz450 about a week ago for myself, and paid $2k for it. It needs front plastics, headlights, and a pipe. I am goig to do it all up though. I ordered a complete ALBA suspension kit for it and a pipe from ALBA.

I have a KFX now with +3 LT arms and TCS shocks. I am going to give it to my wife when I get the yfz done.

I buy them from a broker out of Atlanta. He contacts me when he has something that might intrest me. You do have to have a Automotive Dealers Lic. to buy from the auctions or brokers. There are quite a few that go through the Atlanta auction also.
