i was staying at a friends house in seattle for the night and parked outside his house on the street. When i woke up my friends mom said that their car had been broken into to. So i go to check my car and sure enough, somebody had gone through it. They stole my Dell DJ, a bag of Sunchips, and a sweatband, i dont know why they stole the sweatband and sunchips? .....so my question is, my brother, who bought the MP3, got all the extra warrienties, but do they cover theft by any chance? or am i out 250$? thanks

I'd seriously doubt they'd cover theft, do to it having nothing to do with there company, or there quality of product.

No harm in trying though

well, two years ago i bought a dell dj, and a few weeks later it was stolen out of my backpack in the gym lockerroom. i ended up buying a new one because Dell did nothing to help me. so unless they have changed their policies within the last 2 years i think your out of luck.

i can only imagine if every manufacturer followed the practice of replacing stolen products. what is to stop anyone from selling the product to a friend only to have it replaced by reporting it stolen?

if you didn't want your Dell DJ stolen, then you should have been responsible enough not to leave it in your backpack in the gym locker room. then you have the nerve to think Dell should be inclined to replace it because of your carelessness?
